TO DO

CHOOSEN

A first option is to stay in the Sodermaln (South Isle) neighbourhood that is full of bars, little boutiques, charming and relaxing spots : pretty cafes with a lounge ambience, scandinavian furniture shops where you want to buy a lorry load of stuff. Then you have the RIVAL hotel owned by ABBA that is pleasant and stylish and is a good place for a drink at any time especially in the evening when you can meet young people wearing Yves Saint Laurent and slavonics from Odessa who invite you to visit their country. Oops ! Wander around this part of town : the addresses may constantly change but you will always find nice places and your promenade will be interspersed with views of the town

CROSS

the bridge and enter the old town  glancing as you go at the statue of St. George vanquishing the dragon, keep going through the hordes of tourists, BUY a fine jaquard pullover and turn right in the direction of the Modern Art Museum.

TO BE VISITED 8/10

HAVE A DRINK

in fine weather AT THE LYDMAR HOTEL WITH ITS charming TERRACE OVERLOOOKING  the water and with its trendy bookshop-bar for the rainy days or any evening around 8 o’clock. You won’t be disappointed ! 8/10

MAKE YOUR WAY

MAKE YOUR WAY up to Djugarden and discover the ABBA Museum and Vasa Museum then turn back to the centre and pass by the magnificent Dramaten (theatre) where Ingmar Bergman used to work. 7/10

THINK

Resting the best place is certainly Djugarden, green, quiet, charming or the Konst-ig bookshop. 8/10, Photo 14
