WALK:

The city lends itself to walking. All along the Meuse. The whole area around the Boverie Park. Where three periods overlap with the former Museum of Fine Arts (the only remnant of the 1905 World Fair). The new Musée de la Boverie (glass annex by Rudy Riccioti) http://www.laboverie.com/ and the “nautique” building very 30's, the Palais des Congrès (1958) and finally "La Belle Liégeoise" the pedestrian bridge.

keep walking:

Around the Place Saint-Lambert that are lots of small neighbourhoods that have developed, adapted, pedestrianised without it becoming a labyrinth. I consider that the heritage of this city, which, lest we forget, used to be a capital, mixes very well with the contemporary appearance.

OUTREMEUSE:

This is the Liege hood (festive) par excellence. Once you cross the Saucy bridge you enters the Liege of forever. Full of small restaurants (such as the very Lebanese Mezze Cazza) legendary bars (Le Lion Sans Voile, the Randaxhe) or not ...

FRENCHIE:

With July 14: Anecdotal but amazing. In Liege they celebrated the 14th of July. (The 21 as well!).

In no particular ORDER:

I will mention the Batte market on Sundays, the restaurant Lequet, the café “les Olivettes" where people sing, but also the Curtius Museum (religious art, Mosan art, arms museum and glass museum) with good eponymous brewery (and near the stairs of Bueren). http://www.lacurtius.com/  Les Coteaux de la Citadelle http://www.belgique-tourisme.be/informations/attractions-touristiques-liege-coteaux-de-la-citadelle-de-liege/fr/V/30286.html and http://www.lanocturnedescoteaux.eu/

CAPITAL:

The fact that the city was the capital of the Princes-Evêques makes the architecture important and many buildings emphasis their neighborhoods, highlight an itinerary: the Palace of course, the Opera House (renovated) http: / /www.operaliege.be/fr, the Basilica ... By the way, I’m personally most affected by old buildings rather than Geby architectural gestures although in the case of Liège they have been quite successful.
