I liked the Valencia Palace: comfortable and good value for money, well located, lovely staff. 7/10.

We had lots of addresses thanks to the Belgian gallerist Didier Brouwers. 
Tapas: Las Cuevas, La Bodeguilla del Gato (excellent) 8/10, Taberna del Olio (Amodovar style) La Lluna, La Pilatera 
Paella: El Rall (outstanding) 8/10. 
Dessert: Dulce de Leche shop.
Star restaurant: Ricard Camarena (reservation required, superb setting).

La Llotja de la Seda, a must-see historic building if only for the hall of twisted columns.
