SLEEPING: There’s a number of good hotels: Metropol, Kempinski, the Four Seasons, all well located in relation to the Red Square.
The Kempinski Hotel on the other side of the Moskva river offers a pleasant walking experience as you head for the Red Square. 7/10.
EATING: Some very good discoveries starting with the Turandot. A magnificent place, where the recent interior design took 5 years and cost $ 50 million, making it the most expensive in the world for a restaurant. The result is breathtaking. You have the impression of being in an eighteenth century folly, in spite of it being a brand new place. Do not miss this. Delicious Asian-European food. Do have an ice cream. Absolutely. European prices.

EATING 2: Otherwise I really liked the Sixty; a trendy restaurant in Moscow’s Manhattan, as well as the legendary Pushkin Café. Visit all the floors. I also liked a few simpler restaurants here and there, as well as some of the very charming, 50’s style, museum restaurants. 8/10.
RED SQUARE: Obviously, and when I was there, the square was animated by shows and movie screenings. Of course, one can only mention and admire the Saint Basil's Cathedral.
KREMLIN: Immense and a must-see: the Dormition Cathedral where the Romanovs were crowned, the Palace of Facets, the Grand Kremlin Palace of where the President of Russia resides, the Park …

SHOPPING: We find everything in Moscow from the most prestigious brands to small kiosks where you can buy beautiful little jewels. A gift idea: Lomonosov porcelain blue, white, gold. 10/10.
GUM: The famous department store of Moscow. I’d seen it practically empty in the Brezhnev years. Today it is full of everything including booksellers.
METRO: A special mention for the Moscow Metro. A must. The Moscow Metro is amazing. The stations are famous worldwide since the thirties. The stations are considered as underground palaces: they are decorated with marble of all origins and statues and magnificent works of art. They were dug very deep in order to be used as shelter in case of attacks, and the Moscow Metro has received many awards for its perfection and style. This metro is unique in the world. Take a guide to save time and he will show you the most beautiful stations (Mayakovsky, Prospect Mira ...). Of course, like all over Moscow, the metro is very clean. 10/10.
