AUSTRALIANS

I expected people to be rude, fat and heavy beer drinkers or tall blond and interested only in surfing. I was surprised to meet with a lot of different people from different origins and back ground but most of them friendly agreable and cordial. Most of them were helpful and sophisticated.

BIG

Australia is big, very big and Sydney the main city is large. To the point that cars are still the rule and bicycles are almost absent even if it possible to have them without risk of accidents with cars.

POSH

The city is rich. You can shop to chic places and all the luxury brand have big stores. I saw people queuing up at Cartier store! Prada and others have all the choice you may want and you can see that business is flourishing.

LIVELY

Restaurants are full: terrasses are inviting, roof tops are trendy and cocktails at sunset are quite a tradition..

IMPOSING

You can see that Sydney had been considered by the Brit’s as a pearl and many constructions testimony of the care the British Empire took of the city. You may visit the Queen Victoria building: amazing! The city is clean and easy to manage. Common transports are agreable and easy even for me who doesn’t like them most of the time.

MODERN

The city is connected and everything works. You don’t need to change money. When you take a plane everything is easy at the airport and when you have a problem people are charming. Because of a storm I could not take my flight to Auckland but the company managed to find a flight 2 days later and when I came back to the hotel they immediately offered me drinks!

EASY

As I said discovering Sydney did not prove to be difficult and everywhere people help you. I wanted to take a ride with a boat and the man at the cashier took the time to advise me appropriately.
