WHAT TO DO?
SLEEPING:
I always liked the Delano for its decoration. There is always something going on at the Delano pool even if it closes a little early. With big tips and a lot of smooth talking, you can still be served at night. Otherwise renting a house or an apartment via airbnb is worth the while to be able to cook. We had a star apartment with a huge terrace and pool on Collins Avenue.
EATING:
The restaurants are expensive and on Collins they really exaggerate: the News Café pizzas, beurk! Some are worth it (sometimes). Not to miss The Juvia and a few others (Garcia's) but without excess ......
.
DRINKING:
The Standard is cool: furniture by our friend Xavier Lust, from here to there.
DRIVING:
Miami is vast. Renting a car is worth it or you’ll ruin yourself on Übers
SHOPPING:
There is everything but nothing essential. Souvenirs from little Havana, European clothes, The Webster in South Beach ... Ah, buying a pullover at 40 degrees, what a joy!
VISITING:
Taking a tour of the neighborhoods is worthwhile for observing the American way of life: beautiful or very beautiful houses, big or very big cars. It all depends on the neighborhood but I am not tempted by this residential suburban lifestyle.
